ATVs and MudATVs and mud are a match made in heaven. True, many people use fast ATVs for utility purchases, such as farm work. With so many attachments you can purchase when getting an ATV for sale, they have many more uses than other farm tools. This article, however, is not about that side of ATV use. This side focuses on one thing: ATVs in mud. ATVs Are Built for MudATVs were first created by Honda in 1970. They were so revolutionary that their ad campaign was “What Is It?” It was the first revolutionary off-road vehicle designed to be ridden off the beaten path. ATV is short for all-terrain vehicle, with mud falling in the category of all-terrain. ATVs have deep treads on their tires, which are effective for navigating terrain that is muddy and has tree roots and small rocks. There is a big aftermarket segment of ATV riding, which includes many things designed specifically for mud riding: mud tires like the (Goodyear Mud Runner Tire), mud flaps, mud helmets with removeable nose/wind deflectors, and mud fenders. ATV Mud Trails and Off-RoadingThere are many new mud trails opening up across the country to accommodate the many able-bodied weekend warriors that like nothing better than plowing their fast ATVs through the mud. Look for mud bogs, or off-road trails to find a local ATV riding area. Also, many times, wholesale ATV and cheap ATV dealerships will sponsor riding events, such as the ATV Mud Nationals, held each year in Texas. Cheap ATVs are perfect for riding in these mud events. Remember that cheap ATVs does not necessarily mean poor quality ATVs. If you are going to use your fast ATVs for mud riding purposes, cheap ATVs can definitely be the way to go. Look for companies that wholesale ATVs, like GS MotorWorks, to get a good quality sport 150cc ATV, or even a smaller 110cc ATV, like our Mojo. ATVs for SaleAs mentioned before, cheap ATVs can be perfect for off-road riding, provided that you keep them well maintained. This would include washing them after each mud ride, keeping all components properly lubricated, and checking fittings carefully, tightening nuts and bolts regularly. When researching ATVs for sale, make sure that spare parts are easily available. Nothing is worse than having a $2,000 fast ATV out of commision because your dealer doesn’t have a $2 gasket. GS MotorWorks has a 3,000-square-foot ATV parts warehouse to service all of the wholesale ATVs we sell. |
